WORKSPACE GUIDE

Document extraction

Select dates, vendors and amounts from values actually present in a document.

DocumentCandidatesSource evidence

What you provide

Document text and the fields you select, such as date, counterparty, or amount. Use synthetic documents for experiments.

What happens

Local logic finds exact source candidates. Jev ranks those candidates plus null; it cannot invent a value outside the supplied set.

What you get

Selected values linked to source evidence, or null when no candidate is selected. Request failures stay visible as failed runs.

Walk through a run

  1. 01

    Start with a document

Load the invoice or paste your own synthetic text.

  2. 02

    Choose the fields

Select dates, counterparty, amount, or document type, then run extraction.

  3. 03

    Check the source

Each selected value points back to exact source evidence. A null result means no value was selected.

Try this

Load the invoice, extract its fields, then remove the date from the source and compare the next result.

Execution limits

Jev can choose only from source candidates or null. A provider error is a failed run, not a missing value.
